VOIP

Digital mobile radio networks
Kamba Communications designs and installs multi-repeater wide-area DMR VHF networks around Zimbabwe. Catering primarily to the conservation and security sectors, we build most-appropriate-technology networks that can scale. From power and mast infrastructure to repeaters, base stations, mobile and portable radios and command-centre software, Kamba provides end-to-end DMR network solutions.
Push-to-talk over cellular
Kamba Communications provides POC radio solutions that leverage public cellular network infrastructure and mobile Starlink satellite services to give clients a worldwide radio-communications network with all the benefits of DMR features but without the expense of repeater infrastructure. Specialist security applications within this POC infrastructure such as Guard Patrol and Time Attendance solutions, along with the native GPS tracking and multimedia calling features that are available, make the POC solution an incredibly powerful communications tool.
Perimeter security solutions
Kamba Communications offers high-end perimeter security solutions in the form of Distributed Acoustic Sensing systems. With this technology we can either mount on a fence or bury underground acoustic fibre-optic systems that can reach up to 80 km and detect intruders within a metre of a perimeter breach. By using AI to filter out 95% of nuisance alarms and adding a confirmation layer of a surveillance drone, rapid-reaction teams avoid time-consuming false alarms while security teams monitor perimeters more effectively. These solutions are used to protect mines, airports, secure conservation areas and any other sensitive site that requires high-end security.

Dual-mode radios operate on both DMR and cellular networks, so a single handset can move between a site's repeater coverage and the wider POC network.

Kamba Communications provides on-site network maintenance services. With network engineers based in Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, we are able to intervene quickly where remedial action is required on any network under a maintenance service contract with us. With our partners IT Africa we also offer 24/7 telephone hotline support where remote resolution is possible.
